4. Exporting a reference from Google Scholar into EndNote

To export a reference from Google
Scholar into EndNote, make sure your EndNote library is open in the
background and go to Google Scholar. Find the resource you want to send to
your EndNote library and click the quote mark icon. Select EndNote at the bottom of the site
window that opens. Depending on which browser you’re using you will be
prompted to open or save the EndNote file. Here we’re using Google Chrome so
we save the file, then open it in EndNote by clicking once on the file in the
downloads bar. EndNote appears showing the reference in the imported references
group. Highlight the reference and check it in the Preview panel for any mistakes
in formatting. Open the Reference panel to make any quick changes, then use the keyboard shortcut Control-S
to save your edits and check the preview again. For more handy EndNote hints go to our
EndNote guide on the AUT Library website.
