Just how important is your small business
name anyway? I’m Denise O’Berry and you’re watching the
“Little Big Show.” Your place for bite size tips that can have
a big impact on your bottom line. I know in this day and age there’s all sorts
of odd names that people use for their business name. You can take the risk on something trendy but you’d be a lot better off if you stuck
with something tried and true. Your business should give your prospects some idea of what you do. So how do you do that? Here’s a three step process you can use to come up with a good business name.
It will help you turn things around so that you can look at it from your prospect’s perspective. In step one; you’ll identify your target market.
Be specific. What are their wants and needs?
Are they a specific gender or age? If they’re a business, how big are they?
Do they make a certain amount of revenue? What does their business look like?
One really cool secret to help you figure this out is to draw a picture of your prospect. Now I know, I can’t draw either. But this is really a great way to identify
who your prospect is and ultimately figure our your business name. Okay, so then in step two, you want to define why they would want to do business with you. What are the benefits? What makes you different from all the other
businesses in your industry? Now for step number three, you’ll use the
information that you discovered in steps one and two. Brainstorm a list of words that could potentially turn into a business name. Put those combinations together and see what works best for you? Did you struggle when you came up with your business name? Have you thought twice about your decision? I’d love to hear from you in the comments
below. If you know another business owner who could use the information I share in this video, send them off a link to it right now.
They’ll appreciate you for it. Don’t forget to like the video and subscribe
