Learn how to optimize your home office for maximum productivity!

Hey, everyone! This is Leigh from Stoneside. Most homes nowadays have a place with a computer – maybe you do work or play games, but if you work from home
exclusively it is even more important that this space is exactly what
you need. And window coverings can be a big part of that. Depending on your needs and light sensitivity, there’s a
variety of different products you can choose from. Maybe that blue light coming off the computer screen doesn’t
bother you so much but when you add a glare into the mix that can be very
stressful for your eyes. So, maybe you want something like a transitional shade where you can let a little bit of light in some times or you can block it out when you need to focus. If you edit video or maybe do flimography for a living, then you might want something even darker. So, maybe a blackout shade works better for you. And the best part is that no matter what product you choose
it can be motorized. So, if the sun comes around and it’s a little too much you can hit a button and it’ll close the shades up and when you’re ready to let a little bit of life back into
the room with some sun you can hit a button again and up the shades go! But beyond making sure that the lighting is just the way you
want it, it’s super important if you’re spending lots of time in
your home office working or thinking about creative projects that you take a
break. And I like to keep a couple little funny trinkets around to
accomplish just that. I particularly like these little nano blocks. They’re just like Legos but smaller, so maybe more fun,
maybe more frustrating. I also really enjoy this silicon putty. Now, not much you can really do with this except mush it
around, maybe loosen your hands up, or just let your mind take a
break. Just think of this as sort of grown up Silly Putty. No matter what floats your boat, every office is unique and
you should enjoy your space. For more details, visit our Resources page on
