The Multiple Award Schedule Program

The Multiple Award Schedule Program

The Multiple Award Schedule or “MAS” Program, also referred to as the Federal Supply Schedule, is a long-term governmentwide contract with commercial industry partners. It is designed to fulfill your agency’s complex or ongoing acquisition needs. The existing 24 Schedules are being consolidated into one single Multiple Award Schedule for products, services, and solutions. This enhanced single Schedule includes a new category and subcategory structure to make it easier to find and buy the solutions you are looking for. One contract vehicle instead of 24 also ensures consistent terms and conditions that meet your needs. This eliminates duplicative and burdensome contract administration for both customers and industry partners. Federal, state, and local government customers can place orders without disruption during all phases of MAS consolidation since existing contract holders will keep their current contract numbers. With MAS, you gain access to more than 25 million commercial products and services at volume discount pricing. Each industry partner on the Schedule has agreed to provide the government its most favored customer pricing. Many companies also offer additional discounts at the order level. GSA makes it easy by managing the master contract. So, in addition to obtaining the best price through MAS, Agency buyers save significant administrative time and reduced contract documentation. GSA has already reviewed each Schedule contractor so you don’t have to. Agencies can place orders following the streamlined procedures of FAR Subpart 8.4. You are also not required to follow FAR Part 15 procedures. No debriefings. No competitive range determinations. Subcontracting plans are already negotiated and issued at the Schedule contract level. With MAS, meet your agency’s OMB mandates to use existing contracts and achieve spend under management goals. Schedule purchases count toward your agency’s socioeconomic goals as well. You can set-aside orders for small businesses, set up Blanket Purchase Agreements or BPAs, and Contractor Teaming Arrangements or CTAs. The MAS program allows you to have total control over your agency’s procurements, from requirements development and evaluation to award and administration. GSA’s eTools, including eBuy and GSA Advantage, further help you streamline your agency’s acquisitions. Or, if your acquisition needs are greater than the capacity of your internal agency contracting officers and specialists, GSA offers full-service acquisition support.
