Hello my name is Benjamin, I’m Sales executive at Sensus process management and today I would like to explain you in a very short video all about the Sensus methodology. The Sensus methodology is our approach to Process management and is made out of 6 steps. The first step, is a total system for thinking and working based on business processes. What does this mean? If we can teach our employees to work and think based on business processes then we achieve a high added value! Because this will make sure that they
follow the established processes. This will make sure that they don’t do anything that they don’t need to do. They will just follow the flow. In order to achieve the first step, we have the second step of the methodology so we have a created a simple and user friendly process language or let’s say a way of describing the processes in a language that is understandable by everyone, We have done this because in all organisations we face different characters, different functions, different departments, so. How do we get all of this information out of these people? In order to map a correct process? Well have done this with a simple language which is made out of 8 icons. These 8 icons will be explained in the next video. Thanks to these icons we make sure all the employees can express their opinions into the processes. The third step is assigning responsibilities and tasks to the processes in order to know who does what when and why. This is because the methodology really focuses on making information of the processes clear enough in order to understand all the steps in the process. For example: Who does this activity? Who does that activity? Or, why is this person doing this task? Is it really efficient enough to let this employee
do this task? Or maybe it is it better that another employee does this task? Fourth Step Making processes measurable, go and sit down with your employees ask questions, ask for the KPI’S for their opinions, lay down the goals. This information will help your organisation to make processes better and take the next step (Process optimisation). The fifth step is making sure that you integrate the processes in the day to day practice, that everybody can reach them and see what is happening inside the processes. That they can see what kind of responsibility they have or what tasks do they have to fulfill. For this Sensus has a very powerful tool. And the last step, the sixth one is improving the processes. So if we have all the information it makes it much easier to improve the processes. So following from Step 1 to Step 6 you will make sure that you map correctly your processes in to the BPM tool of Sensus.
